Fanny the Gipsy Hill Cat

Fanny is our Station Cat: a cat beyond compare
From spring to autumn if it’s warm, you’ll always find her there
She’s company and therapy, a mouser and lots more
She’s the poster cat of Gipsy Hill, a perfect cat next door

Fanny’s fur is black and white, she’s quite petite and thin
You would know her if you saw her have a tickle on the chin
At night she guards her garden watching safe inside her box
But leaps out with a swagger to rebuke a passing fox
She’ll patrol around on platform one, the orchard – and – it’s true
She never travels on the trains or gets to platform two
Her local friends keep her supplied with water, food and strokes
She’s a very special local cat, beloved by many folks

She features in a calendar for 2022
Her cattitude will bring a smile – please get your copy too!

(By Dee – inspired by Fanny and TS Eliot’s Macavity the Mystery Cat)
