Sat Sept 15th – Gipsy Hill station tidying up!

UPDATE!   Fanny (the Gipsy Hill cat) looks head-over-heals happy with our HUGE tidy up at Gipsy Hill… made possible with the help of all the many AMAZING local volunteers… and filling over 70 bags!

HUGE THANK YOU for all those who came and helped, said hi, shared ideas, purchased plants to support the friends and Scouts, veola for the equipment (Tim Bellenger others others who helped clean inside and outside on road by the station) and all the organisers who help made the day possible, safe… and fun for all involved!

We now have a HUGE project list for the station..and Station Manager is assessing and looking into funding and next steps. Also, Friends of Gipsy Hilll are looking into funding/grants…and some signs too…for Fanny and… the first paw steps towards a community garden!

But… LOTS to do! Stay up to date by checking the web site here and on faceboook for more events

Save the date!  Saturday 15th September (9.50am meet up Brown and Green at the front of the Station).

We are getting access to the Gipsy Hill Station grounds to start tidying up!

You will need sensible footwear (no sandals or open toe shoes preferably sturdy boots), gardening gloves etc and we’ll supply a Hi-vis vest and equipment for the day.   For this first session, adults only, as we prepare and tidy up the area.
