The Great Gipsy Hill Garden Party!

Come and join us from 12pm on Saturday 13th September for our fantastic local Garden Party. Both of our lovely station garden areas will be open, with food and refrements, hosting fantatasic family events and stage events all day. Discover the epic history of Gipsy Hill through the ages, play games with free crafting activities, enjoy songs from the Hill with Kate Proudlove, share local stories from the Hill, don’t miss our local premier pantomine production of the “Norwood Gipsies” (first performed in Covent Garden 1777), history talks too and launch of the Gipsy Hill time line, and with Bangin’ Tunes music and fun led by DJ TuneG for the evening!

In the Buffer Stop and Sidings garden area:

  • The Scouts and the team will be running games, crafting activities and selling refreshments as a community fundraiser for their trip to the Gambia next year. All afternoon.

In the Coal Drop Yard Stage garden area:

  • 1.30pm – Song from the Hill – Music and songs with Kate Proudlove
  • 2pm – Stories from the Hill – a talk about Christ Church and the great fire
  • 3pm – Premeier Gipsy Hill performance of the “Norwood Gypsies” pantomine
  • 4pm – History of the Hill at 4pm by the Friends of Gipsy Hill
  • 5pm – Bangin’ Tunes on the Hill by DJ TuneG to 8pm

Event Details:
Saturday 13th September, 12pm to 8pm, for all the family.
Free to enter (buy token for games, free craft activities and all other events)
Gipsy Hill Rail Station: Community gardens next to Platform 1, by SE19 1PL (map here)
Food and drink and refreshments available. Pets on leads at all times (except Fanny the cat).
In the Gipsy Hill Station Gardens (next to full length of Platform 1 at Gipsy Hill Station)
Garden Entrances: in Sainsbury Road by station side entrance (postcode: SE19 1PL) for:

  • Events in the Buffer Stop & Sidings Garden**
  • Events on the Coal Drop Yard Stage** (** both areas have an uneven garden surface to access)
