Great news! The Gipsy Hill Village Fete is returning this summer on Sunday 14th July (12 noon to 4pm).
The fete will be held on our beautiful Long Meadow, located between Gipsy Hill and Dulwich Wood Avenue, SE19 1QR. The Village Fete is a fun, family-friendly event which is free for all. This year all of the community favourite attractions from our previous fetes are back, and there are some new surprises too!
Join us on Sunday 14th July for:
- The return of the Gipsy Hill dog show! New categories for 2024 include Dog with the X-Factor, Best Junior Handler, and Rescue Star Dog of the Day!
- An afternoon of live music on the Fete stage
- Lots of traditional fete fun & games
- Street food by Gipsy Hill Smokehouse
- Community refreshment table – supported by Passage to India, The Great Southern and The Scouts
- Beer tent hosted by Gipsy Hill Brewery
- Planting things and making things by FoGH
- Birds of Prey
- Community Health & Wellbeing in the community marquee
- Bouncy Castle
We have so many exciting plans for this year’s fete and we can’t wait to share the day with our wonderful community in and around SE19. See below for some of the fun we already have booked for the fete, and watch this space for more details nearer the time!
Dog Show
This year we’ve increased the categories for our community canines from 5 to 8 so there are even more chances to win for your prize pooch! The Dog Show categories for 2024 are:
- Veteran VIP – All veterans are VIPooches but there can only be one Golden Oldie! Open to all pooches over 8 years old
- Best Puppy – Does your cute canine have what it takes to win? Open to all those up to 1 year old
- Dog with the X-Factor – SE19 is filled with fabulous four-legged friends but which one has the Gipsy Hill X-Factor?
- Best Junior Handler – Open to juniors 14 years and under, we want to see your bond with your furry friend
- Dog With the Best Ears – Show us your beautiful ears please!
- Rescue Star Dog of the Day – All rescue dogs are special but we’re looking to crown one as Rescue Star Dog of the Day!
- The Happiest Dog – Is your best friend always bringing sunshine and joy? We want to meet them!
- Owner Most Like their Dog – Do you share a special kind of likeness with your canine companion? The final category of the day is the one for you!

The Gipsy Hill Village Fete stage will play host to a whole host of local musical talent, including:

- Crystal Palace Band
- Antenna
Not ready for the fun to stop after the fete? Catch Mike Panos Band live at The Gipsy Hill Taproom from 5pm.
